If Looks Could Kill

Angry energy

For which there is plenty

The only power to hand

Though deceiving

Deception within disguise

Purposely conveying cold blank eyes

Hidden agendas

Choke on your own medicine

See how it feels

Ambiguous coincidence encounters

With forced presence

To feed in the harsh essence

The pretence

Of irrelevance

For which I don’t quite believe

Who knows

Who cares

I’m not a mind reader

Though if looks could kill

He’d stare me out

Let me burn

See me dead

See me to my grave

Spit and dance on my land

Riddled With

Riddled with irritation

With a back drop of moving pictures

Harmony falling apart

Like that of a cheap film set

Once formidable

In wreck and ruin

Metaphorically reduced bare

And there’s no meaningful conversation there

Anymore

Empty hours

With nothing to do

Except restlessly sit incensed smouldering with flash backs of you

Zeolously held hostage

Obediently

For what now seems like an eternity

The clock ticks slow

Move it along

With hardous hard labour

Which has more appeal

Than to watch time congeal

To the sucker of soul

Left alone with bothersome mindfulness

That never leaves me alone

Relieve the tediousness

With packets of silver foil

It has no bright glare anymore

Frustration compels

To try again

Finally

The witching hour

Escape from repetitive slave talk squalor

Inside the book

Sink

Down

Down

Down

Into oblivion

Still

Love is it’s own reward

Velvet Sky

Oh velvet sky

Silver stars

Stalking thee

Hungrily

The restless energetic hours

Creatively peace devoured

Surging ones heart with fearful dread

With ones over flowing spinning head

The high anxiety of the approaching waking hour

To walk out exquisite

With a spring of summer

Happily motherly to triumph

And never fall

Velvet sky

Stalking thee

Strike me down

Condemnn me to the lesser evil please

Sleeping through

Lost summer sun

Youthfulness

Vitality

For which there is none

No will to rejoice

In Gods glorious day

Scorned by loved ones

For ruinous play

Retreat to static solitude

I can’t dance

I can’t run

Surrender away from the seldom sun

I wave the white flag

Lay perfectly still

Soon to dwell

Beneath velvet skies

And silver stars

It Starts With Meaningful Conversation

Laying foundations

He tells of his life

Bares his soul

Troubles and strifes

Confiding in thee

Hustling to plant the seed

Watch it flourish into

Glorious wings of gems of truth and trust

Never to feel reason to question or distrust

He believes in us

So begins a love story

With a back drop of rivers of milk and honey

Spell bound and compelled to sin

Pleasures of the flesh are forbidden

Therefore tempting

The explosion and ecstasy ignites

Vainglory

Ones conceit

And ones egotism

A fool to charismatic well laid plans

And well timed false sentiment

You are his light in his darkness

And by now you are powerless

Extracted your weaker nature

A slave to the envy that drives you away

Closer to what’s true

He has limited time for you

So begins the descend

It’s futile to try apprehend

There’s no time to catch your breath

When reality rolls roaring across the ocean

Of this once enchanting fairy tale

No apologies

Just ruin

Rips through

What once was

And the sadness of what could have been

The kick in the guts

And shame

When common sense prevails

It was never written

It was wishful thinking

Being dragged

Kicking and screaming

Your humiliated and guilty

Drowning in shame

Bedded by the devil

Who remains the orchestrator

Of the sweetest tune

You’ll want to kill yourself

Your the queen of his world

The centre of his universe

Or that’s what

He’ll have you believe

Then he’ll bring you to your knees

You’ll sink into the ground

You’ll want to kill yourself

Don’t say

I didn’t warn you

Like others before

‘You’

Will ignore

The warning signs

It starts with

 ‘meaningful conversation‘

Standard

Take A Breath

Hold me down

Push my face in the water

Watch me suffocate

I stopped breathing

Long ago

It’s crawling up my legs

Intoxicates my skin

Never let’s me be still

Like vines growing up the tower wall

Overgrown with my goodwill

I can be there for you

I sacrifice myself

Fall down from the sky

This is not my goodbye

Though I’ll  drown if I stay

Tomorrow is a fresh day

I’m brand spanking new

Standard

Just A Slither

In offering and good grace

Craving just a taste of sweet

A slither

It holds no intension of harm

It can be a fantasy of high tea indulgence

My lips are sealed

Now come feast with me

Scurry through towns and cities

With icing smeared boldly over your face

Your weakness exposed

Debauch

Sink low

And binge

Until it makes you sick

Time falls through your finger tips

Like sand

Consuming all thoughts

Every second of the day

Almost golden with shame

From your selfish gluttony
